WELCOME
The Colorado Stormwater Council (CSC) is an organization especially for municipalities and municipal permit holders (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES)). It acts as a forum for municipalities and municipal permit holders which:
  • Enables exchange of technical information regarding stormwater regulations and compliance with permits
  • Serves as a voice for its members when representation at regulatory hearings or other meetings is necessary or desired
  • Educates members
  • Aids in the development and implementation of stormwater programs at local and regional levels.
Established as a 501(c) (3) organization in the fall of 2006, the CSC is open to all MS4 permittees and is currently comprised of more than forty Phase I, Phase II and non-standard MS4 permit administrators representing all regions of Colorado. Some significant CSC accomplishments include providing representation and comments to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) regarding draft permits; working closely with the Water Quality Control Division to streamline permit renewal processes; and providing shared stormwater related education and outreach materials to its members. One achievement of which we are especially proud is winning the 2007 Public Works Program Award for Environmental Design/Maintenance/Operations.
